Desktop SIP apps such as Zoiper, Bria, and MicroSIP were built for SIP trunks. Using them with Twilio usually means creating a SIP domain, credential lists, and TwiML apps for each user.
What desktop SIP clients ask you to configure
- Per-user SIP setup: registration details and credentials for every teammate.
- Incoming calls on mobile: a SIP registration that the phone may suspend in the background.
- SMS: many SIP clients only carry voice, so Twilio SMS stays in another tool.
What ReachTo asks for instead
ReachTo is an independent Android app for numbers already on your Twilio account. You enter the Account SID and Auth Token from the Twilio Console. ReachTo lists those numbers so you can call and text. It is not a Twilio product, and it does not replace Twilio billing. The app fee is $5 per month or $50 per year, with a free 10-minute trial. The iOS app is coming soon.
Incoming alerts on Android use push notifications rather than requiring you to keep a SIP socket open yourself. ReachTo does not publish battery or pickup-rate statistics.
