Connecting a Twilio phone number directly to a mobile device used to require setting up complex WebRTC servers, building custom mobile apps, or paying a separate PBX fee. With ReachTo, you connect an existing Twilio account to an Android phone.

ReachTo is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twilio. The iOS version is coming soon. Android is available on Google Play.

Step 1: Locate your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token

Log in to your Twilio Console. On the account dashboard, copy the Account SID and Auth Token. These credentials let ReachTo list the phone numbers on that account and place calls through Twilio. ReachTo does not ask for your Twilio Console password.

Step 2: Install ReachTo

Download ReachTo from the Google Play Store. The iOS app is coming soon. Open the app and select Connect Twilio Account.

Step 3: Enter the API credentials

Paste the Account SID and Auth Token into the app. On Android, ReachTo stores those credentials on the device with EncryptedSharedPreferences. They are not sent to a ReachTo server, and ReachTo does not ask for your Twilio login password.

Step 4: Choose a caller ID and call

ReachTo lists the voice-enabled numbers on the Twilio account, including local numbers you bought for a country or a US state. Choose the number you want as caller ID, then place or receive calls and SMS. Twilio bills the usage on your Twilio account. ReachTo's app fee is $5 per month or $50 per year, after a free 10-minute trial.
